Coker Tire Unveils Bias-Look Radial Tires
One of the biggest decisions a traditional-style classic trucker or hot rodder faces is the choice between the period-correct appearance of a bias-ply tire or the comfort, handling characteristics, and safety of a modern radial tire. It's a brand-new American Classic bias-look whitewall radial that is sure to find its way onto thousands of classic pickups around the world, thanks to a wide range of sizes! Available in nine sizes, the new line of American Classic radials offer fitment on a number of popular applications. The range of sizes provides options for enthusiasts using 13-, 14-, and 15-inch wheels, who have always been forced to choose between a bias-ply or radial tire – now they can have the best of both worlds. Minimize Carburetor Fuel Percolation and Hard Starting
AUTOMOTION Hot Rod Carbs, the recognized provider of top-quality, custom-built multiple carburetor induction systems and related items for the street rod and classic truck hobby, has introduced their own line of premium carburetor heat insulator shields and spacers for all popular makes and models of automotive and marine two-barrel carburetors (four-barrel and one-barrel applications are coming soon). Because of the extremely low evaporation and boiling point temperatures of today's numerous gasoline blends (some as low as 100 degrees F), carburetor users from around the world have been experiencing many annoying problems related to fuel evaporation, fuel vapor lock, fuel percolation, hard starting, and intake manifold staining. To help alleviate these poor performance and aesthetics conditions, carburetors now need to be insulated from the engine heat and thermal transfer that they experience during normal driving conditions and engine cool-down. The AUTOMOTION spacers and shields are black in color for an OEM appearance and each piece is only ¼-inch thick for applications with limited hood clearance. They have also been designed for individual use, or when clearance will allow, in stacked configurations for even greater insulating properties. Trailer Towing Solutions for Classic Pickups
TBRT Engineering, an engineering and manufacturing firm specializing in solutions for classics, has released the #61030 Receiver Trailer Hitch, a new hitch designed for 1947-1955 first series Chevrolet and GMC pickup trucks. The new #61030 hitch combines the appeal of a discrete towing solution with the ability to tow larger trailers that would not normally work with a bumper hitch or a flat bar hitch. This hitch is ideal for classic truck enthusiasts looking for a solution to pull their larger utility trailer, vintage boat, or retro camper. The #61030 hitch has been designed to be nearly invisible to the onlooker when not towing a trailer. The design positions the receiver hitch between the rear framerails seated right below the bed. The hitch has been designed for use with a roll pan or without a rear bumper. If the owner likes the look of a rear bumper, the design allows for the use of a 1954 rear bumper. The #61030 hitch uses high-quality ¼-inch-thick steel tubing and plate, and is cut to fit perfectly. To provide superior life, the hitch is coated with a high-quality black powdercoat finish. Billet HD AMP High-Output Alternators
Flaming River is excited to announce the addition of Billet HD Amp High-Output Alternators to their growing line of high-performance automotive products. These alternators feature new technologies and increased efficiencies over OEM alternators that equate to excellent output at extremely low engine rpm, more horsepower to the wheels, and less energy wasted in the form of heat. Precision balanced low-mass rotors allow these alternators to operate safely at shaft speeds of 20,000-plus rpm. This high-rpm capability, plus excellent output at speeds as low as 400 rpm, give the user a broader operating rpm range and more flexibility in the size of the crankshaft pulley they wish to use. The Flaming River Billet HD Amp Alternators use Twin Rectifier Plates with twice as many diodes as an OEM alternator, which results in 300-percent more surface area to dissipate heat. Lower temperatures in the engine compartment keep internal components cooler so they last longer than other alternators on the market. These alternators are the perfect solution for any truck owner who struggles with premature alternator failure, intermittent electrical accessory problems, or low voltage at any engine rpm.
