Check out this thing of beauty. Steve Rupp from Camaro Performers built this monster 440 LS using a Chevy Performance LSX bottom end. The LSX block was then bored to 4.125 and stroked 4.125 with the rod length of 6.125 giving us a 440. Steve also used an Eagle crank and Comp cam to bump up the ponies. Speaking of a mean street engine Steve was able to squeeze 645 hp at 5,900 rpm and 614 lb-ft at 5,200 rpm. Trick Flow street and strip 235 heads were used on the top end along with 1.72 Comp Ultra Gold aluminum rockers. To feed the beast full of fuel, a FAST 92mm intake with a FAST Big Mouth 92mm throttle body were used. Altogether Steve said this bad boy engine can smoke a set of tires at half throttle. Now that is my kind of cool.
