The kit comes with four large threaded bungs that are used to tighten the water pump on. Remember to use a gasket singe on the water pump gaskets.

We wiped off the remainder of the gasket singe material so it wouldn’t dry and look bad on the outside of the new parts.

The large Pro-Track aluminum bracket could then be attached to the water pump using the supplied Allen head bolts.

The power steering pulley could be installed at this point along with the Crankshaft pulley.

The upper adjustment bolt was then installed finger-tight to the bracket. Note that we made the mistake of not installing the small aluminum spacer on the outside of the bolt. Make sure to put the spacer on or it will make it hard to adjust belt tension.

The A/C compressor was also bolted on using the water pump bracket with small spacer.

The alternator was then slid into place and a small spacer was used to gap it from the water pump bracket. It may be necessary to remove the alternator several times to adjust the Allen plug that is attached to the water pump bracket.

Take note that the spacer we forgot to put on the 105-amp alternator looks like this. The A/C compressor bolts in two spots on the front of the large aluminum bracket, one underneath the compressor and the bolt shown is part of the adjustment. We left the bolts finger-tight for a moment, so that belt-adjustment could be made by moving the alternator and compressor without scratching the brackets.

This cool little adjustment tool comes in the kit and is only used to tension the belt. A good rule to go follow for any belt is not to over-tighten it. We started by tightening the belt and then checking the belt tension by turning the belt at the longest point. If the belt is adjusted correctly, it should twist less than 50 degrees. With this kit, our measurement was taken in between the crank and A/C compressor pulley. The next step was to make sure the alternator pulley was tight with a 3⁄8 impact gun.

Once the belt adjustment was made, we tightened all the bolts and rechecked the belt.

The last thing we did was check all the bolts and clean all the fingerprints off the kit. The March kit was clean and a simple design that was easily installed within two hours.
