Lets talk about all the stuff on the top of the tank. The two left fittings are the vent valves that have a ball in them for rollover protection and to allow massive amounts of air in. Have you ever been so thirsty that you downed a plastic bottle of water with out breathing in or out? After you downed the water did you notice how the bottle had imploded from lack of air getting in? This same theory applies to your vehicle’s fuel tank. As the fuel pump is sucking fuel out of the tank it needs to breath via the vent lines, otherwise the tank will run out of air and reduce or stop the amount of fuel flowing to the EFI. Makes sense, right?
