Disassembly starts with the door handles. These happened to be Phillips screws that held the handles to the shafts. Some are small Allen studs. I got real lucky here. Somebody had already changed the shafts to new ones. Mid Fifties have these in stock length and ½-inch longer to fit the extra thickness of an upholstered door panel.
