Basic TIG Welding 101 With Inverter Machines Photo Gallery
I usually like to use 3⁄32-inch ER70S-6 filler for mild steel. For thinner materials I will use a smaller rod and I might change my tungsten to 1⁄8 to weld smaller beads. I like to use 3⁄32 ER4043 rod for most of my aluminum welding. Check with your local welding supply house to see what will work best for the material you are welding. It is also a good idea to protect your TIG rod from the elements. You can also find these blue containers at a welding supply store.
