Ford F-1 and F-100 Parts from Honest Charley

The term “hot rod” generally refers to a vehicle built before 1948, and heavily modified in terms of its appearance and performance. However, post-’48 vehicles are picking up in popularity, especially after the NSRA allowed these so-called “late-model” vehicles into its events. One particular group of vehicles that strikes a chord with hot rodders is old pickup trucks, such as the Ford F-series. That’s why Honest Charley Speed Shop has introduced a new product line specifically for ’48-56 Ford F-1 and F-100 pickups. Whether you’re building a beater or a full-on show truck, the ’48-56 Ford truck is an excellent platform to build upon, and Honest Charley Speed Shop has a variety of restoration components when you’re ready to take the next step. If you’re interested in this new line of Ford F-1 and F-100 truck parts, contact Honest Charley Speed Shop toll free at 888-795-7077 or check out their newly renovated website at

Music to your Ears

They’re back! The famous heavy-duty mufflers that were used by the original hot rodders in the ’40s and ’50s are available once again. For those who are not familiar with Porter Mufflers, they are vintage steel-pac mufflers that have a very deep, desirable, unique sound. Porter Mufflers are still hand-manufactured right here in the USA, just like they were back in the ’30s. The bodies are made from quality 16 gauge, aluminized steel and have a steel coil center. They are hand-packed with stainless steel wool to give them that classic, vintage rumble your ride deserves. Special care goes into each handmade muffler to assure they are of the highest quality and built to last a lifetime. Porter Mufflers were first made popular back in the ’30s. They were started by the Porter brothers of Los Angeles, California. The Porter Muffler Manufacturing Company became an institution on the West Coast in 1938. Their policy was to give their customers the best possible product they could buy anywhere, and give it to them at a fair price. Porter Mufflers continued to grow and became a household name all across America through the ’50s and ’60s. To get your hands on a pair of these macho mufflers, contact Porter at 763-463-3452 or

Billet Exhaust Hangers from Deeds Engineering

These beautiful new hangers provide the exhaust industry with a new, long awaited option for mounting exhaust systems. The billet aluminum construction translates to a solid, tough product while the soft, high-temp bushing dampens exhaust vibration to your truck’s chassis. Stainless steel hardware holds everything together for a high-quality package. They’re available for 2¼-, 2½-, and 3-inch exhaust tubing sizes, and all of ’em are offered in a natural machined or a hand-polished finish. The hangers use an aluminum body to clamp around the exhaust tubing and a sleeve through the bushing is used to bolt the hanger to your chassis or a bracket. These hangers are perfect for anyone who requires a high-tech machined look, and also doesn’t want to cut, grind, or weld on their finished chassis to mount their exhaust system. For info on these hangers, or the complete line of cool Deeds products, contact Deeds Engineering at 818-842-2500, or on the web at
