Brulé then set the crank to TDC, removed the degree wheel, and installed the COMP Cams two-piece front timing cover (PN 210). Make sure to install the cam button if you don’t have a thrust plate like the newer motors. Also, you will need to seal the gaskets with silicone and where the two pieces come together in the middle. Next, the TCI Rattler balancer (PN 870001) was carefully installed without moving the crank, and the pointer was set to TDC. The ARP crankshaft balancer bolt (PN 134-2501) was then torqued to specs.
