When we trimmed the leading edge of the floorpan, we needed to recreate the flange where it welds to the toeboard’s flange. The pan has a gentle side-to-side curve to it, and the flange goes along this curve—meaning you can’t use a sheetmetal break. This is the only reason we have adjustable wrenches in the shop; they work perfectly for bending a flange around a radius. Small bites an inch at a time, making three or four passes across the panel.
