427 Cubes Of Brute Power
The company that created the 427 FE engine line announces a modern version of the legendary motor. Built on Ford Racing's new Boss 351 block, the 427 crate engine (PN M-6007-Z427FFT-front sump pan, and PN M-6007-Z427FRT-rear sump pan) are engineered and built for driveability and durability, while still offering tons of torque and a throaty growl. The 427 crate engine is ideal for classic trucks, street rods, and all Ford projects requiring big power in a reliable small-block package. The M-6007-Z427 features 427 ci (a 4.125 bore and 4.00 stroke), 9.5 deck 351 BOSS block with four-bolt mains, and a whopping 535 hp at 5,600 rpm and 545 lb-ft of torque at 4,500 rpm. They're rated at a 10.5:1 compression ratio and are built using neutral-balance forged steel cranks, steel H-beam connecting rods, and forged pistons. They're also fitted with aluminum Ford Racing Z cylinder heads with 2.02 intake and 1.60 exhaust valves and 63cc chambers, hydraulic roller cams, and include water pumps and harmonic balancers, distributor, ignition wires, and intake. And as is the case with Ford Racing crate engines, the 427 comes with the company's standard 12/12 FRPP crate engine warranty, as well.
