With the frame as prepped as it was ever going to be it was finally time to get down to business. The first step of the TCI IFS kit installation (other than checking that all the components are there and the installation instructions read) is to begin taking measurements. In the lower left portion of this image you can see a rectangular indentation in the side of the rail with two holes near the top. This is the area where the front spring mount used to be. You want to find the center of the large hole in that indentation measure rearward from 207/8 inches and scribe a line on the side of the framerail (repeating the step on the opposite side, as well). This is where the crossmember will be located in the near future (and is right at the original I-beam axle centerline).
