With both door stencils in place it was then back to the paint and materials. As I mentioned earlier for a job of this type Styles prefers to use urethane striping/lettering enamel like Finish Line (manufactured by SEM Products). Finish Line is a catalyzed enamel, which because of the chemical catalyst dries from the inside out rather than from the surface down as is the case with standard un-catalyzed enamel. Drying from the inside out allows the faux patina process to be more successful as you'll soon see. A lettering brush rather than a standard sword-type striping brush is used in the process, as well.
