This latest creation (which I'm pretty sure is not unique to my simple mind) was motivated by the need to repeatedly remove and replace the cab and bed assemblies from the chassis of my two latest pickup projects on my own. The process began by eyeballing my trusty Harbor Freight "cherry picker," and wishing it was large enough to handle items much bigger and more unwieldy than an engine/trans combo. I soon determined that with a bit of imagination (and an additional bit of luck) it could be modified in a way that'd make it much more versatile than it was in its stock configuration. All I needed to do was to fabricate a boom that'd have a longer reach and higher lift height than it had at the moment.
