The inside of the bottom of the framerails has an odd shape to it as it leads to the front crossmember; this needs to be straightened out. By matching the width measurement of the rear section, Mike scribes a straight line where the frame widens. Next, he'll cut on this line and grind it smooth so the frame is straight from front to back. This is necessary when it comes time to set the Wide Ride crossmember in place and box the front of the frame.
