 For my everyday commuter I...  For my everyday commuter I will be installing OPTIMA Batteries YellowTop Group 51R Dual Purpose battery (Part # D51R). The only tool I needed for this install was an 8" adjustable wrench. I would recommend a ratchet instead of an adjustable because it makes this install a lot easier. |  Here is my old stock battery...  Here is my old stock battery that came with my car. The first thing to do is to remove the battery harness. Every vehicle is different but most vehicles I have changed in the past have had a setup somewhat similar to this setup. |
 So you don't get a nasty shock...  So you don't get a nasty shock you need disconnect the negative battery terminal. Loosen the bolt and the terminal should pop right off. |  Next we remove the positive...  Next we remove the positive terminal by loosening the bolt and pulling the terminal away from the battery. |  Now that my old battery is... Time to do everything in reverse; I installed the Yellow Top and secured it with the battery harness. One difference I did notice was the OPTIMA battery was slightly taller than my stock battery.
