Classy Carbs
Holley Performance Products is proud to announce their all-new Ultra Street Avenger and Ultra Double Pumper carburetors designed for improved performance, weight savings, and show-quality looks. Each of these new carbs is made totally from aluminum, which allows them to be 5 pounds lighter than their zinc predecessors. The aluminum construction also allows them to hold their shine much longer as well. They come tumble polished from the factory, but can easily be hand polished. The metering blocks and base plates are made of 6061-T6 billet aluminum for added strength and mating surface integrity, as well as good looks. The metering blocks and base plates come on the carbs in trademarked red, blue, or black anodizing. Hug A Caddy
Sanderson Headers announced its newest product for nostalgia engines, a compact block hugger for the classic Cadillac 390/429 engine. Originally developed for a stock '64 Coupe De Ville, the CAD390 has proven popular with classic truck builders thanks to its tight-fitting design. They offer great clearance for starter and spark plugs, and dramatically improve exhaust flow and performance. Starting with their patented leak-free flange, Sanderson bends 1 5/8 inch-outer tubes and a 1 7/8-inch center tubes into a 2 1/2-inch collector. Thanks to the unique flange design, no gaskets are needed-just a bead of Permatex Ultra Black on the mating surfaces provides a perfect seal. CAD390s are available in plain steel or in Sanderson's polished high-temp ceramic coated finish, and come with bolts and a weld-on flange for under-chassis exhaust system hookup. For more information contact Sanderson Headers at www.sandersonheaders.com or 800-669-2430.
Wheel Reinvented
Cragar Wheel announced that the classic Cragar S/S wheel is now offered in both the traditional universal lug (uni-lug) bolt pattern as well as a new direct-drilled mounting system with conically seated lug nuts. The Cragar S/S is an icon of the hot rod and muscle car world and has been offered for decades with the uni-lug mounting system. Like many old-school mag-style aftermarket wheels it requires special concentric washers and mag shank-style lug nuts, and is still favored by many hot rod purists. While the performance marketplace acknowledges the original authenticity of uni-lug wheels, Cragar realized that many of today's owners and builders prefer a direct drill mounting system. The direct drilled Cragar S/S series is now available in 15- and 17-inch diameters in various widths and finishes at authorized Cragar dealers.
