The set screws on the lower U-joint are awfully close to the header. This may require either the header flange or the pinch bolt to be modified slightly to avoid unwanted contact. These are the kinds of problems to look for when assembling a steering system.

Ford F1 Steering Column Upgrade U Joint Clearance
Flaming River recommends a maximum of 35 degrees on any single U-joint and a more desirable angle of 15 degrees. Any more than 35 degrees necessitates using a double U-joint. We checked the angle of our middle joint, as it looked slightly radical, but it came well within the 35-degree max rule, so the single joint will be fine.
