Edelbrock Supercharger & GM Performance Parts - Feasibly Forced Induction

The threaded end of the bolts were coated with ARP thread sealer; the heads were coated with ARP moly lube to prevent galling.

The final piece of the valvetrain puzzle was the installation of the Comp Cams Ultra Gold aluminum rocker arms...

...and sizing of the Comp pushrods.

But before we could run this latest configuration on the dyno, the engine had to be primed, just as it was prior to the initial baseline tests.

This time around, instead of the stock intake manifold we opted for an Edelbrock Performer Rpm Air Gap along with a Holley 650cfm carburetor. The resulting numbers were 372hp @ 5,700 and 384 lb-ft @ 4,100. Not quite what the blower alone produced, but a nice improvement over baseline testing.

Swapping out the natural aspiration for the E-Force blower bumped those numbers up to a pleasing 453 hp @ 6,000 and 453 lb-ft @ 4,000. But we wanted to squeeze just a bit more out, so...

...we exchanged the 3.6 blower drive pulley for a 3.2 (upping boost from 5 pounds to 7), ultimately producing an admirable peak 480 hp with 465 ft-lb of torque. Again, not too shabby for the little engine that could...and did!
