In its semi-stock configuration (with the addition of a Holley 650-cfm carb) on the Westech dyno, our base engine outperformed its advertised numbers: 323hp @ 5,500 rpm and 347 lb-ft @ 4,200 rpm. With that data, we wanted to see what Edelbrock's E-Force supercharger alone would do, so that's what we did!

As mentioned in the accompanying story, the E-Force blower is essentially a Magnusson M112 based on the proven Eaton positive displacement unit. In kit form (with a supplied Thunder Series AVS 800-cfm carb and 3.6-inch drive pulley) it's good for up to, but not limited to, 500 hp, which is just what we'll be shooting for.
