Engineered Components, Inc. now offers a six-lug disc brake conversion for the '41-54 Chevy/GMC pickup trucks. These new kits utilize 12-inch diameter rotors and big piston calipers from the later GM pickups. The caliper mounting brackets are a bolt-on installation to the stock pickup spindles. Stock hubs, bearings, and seals can be used with a new tapered roller bearing and seal kit available as a recommended option. Stud replacement is required using the new studs provided in the kit. Mid-'80s pickup truck wheels are also required for caliper clearance. ECI also provides dual-chamber master cylinder conversions and power brake units for your early pickup.
