1968 Ford F-100 EFI - The Bumpside Build-Off
I also used the heat shrink... I also used the heat shrink on the hose from the regulator to down on the frame for looks as well as durability. These hoses run over the transmission, which has an aluminum case. The much harder braided stainless could rub or wear into the transmission. I doubt anything bad would become of it, but at least it'll keep both looking good. | And here's the finished rear... And here's the finished rear portion. A good bit of planning and patience goes a long way in this type of work--I know firsthand. I went into this fuel system with little to no grasp on EFI needs or AN fittings and I've learned a great deal through working with the helpful people at Aeromotive, Ford Racing, Rick's Hot Rod Shop, and everyone else involved. There are a few more things to button up before buying gas for the first time in over a year for the '68. We'll keep you updated on those. | |
