While the old master has studs pressed into it, the new Raybestos one doesn't. I decided to go ahead and use some Grade 8 bolts, washers, and nuts to secure the new master cylinder to the firewall. Double check that the brake pushrod has some play before it contacts the master cylinder piston. Usually 1/8-inch of play is sufficient, otherwise you may experience some rear brake lockup problems.
