Like I said earlier, I had... Like I said earlier, I had not planned on using my stock floor at one point, so I cut a hole for the step notch to pass through, which I now have to go back and fill in-but that was my poor planning. I went down the street to Blue Oval Truck Parts and got these 16x48-inch bed floor patch panels that I'll have to trim and weld in place to fix my hastiness. | From the driver side looking... From the driver side looking back into the corner of the bed, everything looks pretty well stock, which was my goal. Notice the marker line on the inner wall that was used as a guide to mark the bed floor's new height. The only welds visible at this point are those holding the rear of the bed floor to the piece of 3x2 tubing, and once those are ground down, no welds will be visible from above. | With the extra piece of tubing... With the extra piece of tubing at the end of the bed floor weld installed and the floor welded to it, the bed is probably stronger than it has ever been. To fill in the gap under the back of the bed floor, I'll cut a piece of sheetmetal to fit and weld it in place, and no one will be the wiser! |
