Using a welder with enough power is a big part of a successful job. I wouldn't feel comfortable using a welder powered by 110 volts; luckily, our new Millermatic 210 is powerful enough for the job, but if you have access to a TIG welder, that would be the best way to go. When welding in the boxing plates, only weld a few inches at a time once they're tacked in. Jump around to another spot instead of welding up one side at a time. View Related Article
