Miller Tig Welder
This is a modern, inverter-style TIG welder. It can run on any power source from 110 to 440 volts, it's lightweight and easy to move, and it has plenty of power for any automotive project. Placing the welder and bottle of shielding gas on a cart makes it easy to move the outfit to the job.

Proper safety gear is essential for welding. Notice the auto-darkening welding hood, gloves, and long-sleeve shirt. Notice also that the welder has his forearms braced on the table edge, and that the angle between the torch and filler rod is 90 degrees.

This is a weld bead on 19-gauge steel sheetmetal. Notice the weld bead's low profile, making cleanup easy. The heat-affected zone (the discolored area) is less than 1 inch wide, which means the panel will have only moderate distortion.
