The Clay Bar kit comes complete with everything needed to rid your paint of buildup that regular washing can't. To keep the clay lubricated and allow it to lift the contaminants embedded within, use the supplied California Gold Showtime Instant Detailer.

As long as you keep the surface of both the clay and the paint wet, you'll literally feel the crud lift as the effort becomes easier and easier, the paint becoming smoother and smoother.

Just flip the clay over after a few passes, and then you'll see the lifted crud buildup that was once the main contributor to your paint's dulling finish.

After hitting each section (attack surfaces in small areas), immediately wipe down with a clean, soft cloth like Mothers MicroFiber cloths.

Though the Clay Bar is not harsh to paint like coarse compounds, you'll want to be careful around areas like this.

Pinstriping on top of clearcoat will end up on the clay, right along with the dirt and debris if you're not cautious.

The Clay Bar kit also includes a finish wax, but because this particular surface was seemingly beyond repair, the entire three-phase Mothers wax process was used, starting with the Pre-Wax Cleaner and followed by Sealer and Glaze.

With each phase in the wax process, a clean applicator was used. Like final wax, each was left to haze up in shade or indirect light before being buffed off with a clean, soft cloth.

Finally, the supplied Carnauba Wax was applied to the treated area. After it was buffed off by hand, the once-dull and rough surface was now shiny and smooth...

And this was on a paint finish that was all but left for dead, which means even the average "nice" paint job will benefit greatly from a clay job!
