Here they had put together the spool assembly that consists of installing the spool bearings, applying thread lock to ring gear bolt holes, installing the ring gear, and installing spool bearing races, at which point the whole unit can be set into the center section. The last thing for the spool, before the main caps can go on, is to get the spanner nuts in place. They are the round pieces with all the holes going around it. These are for pushing in or pulling out the ring gear in relation to the pinion gear to set the backlash using a spanner wrench, hence their name. View Related Article
