You'll know just how close you are by placing the visor up against the windshield. Also pay close attention to the markings on the rods, which indicate upper/lower positioning. Swapping around will throw off the angle pitch and make fitment impossible.

With the width set, the remainder of assembly was wrapped up. Location of the parts should be easy to understand without having to rely on the instructions-having them handy, though, is not a bad idea just in case!

Once the visor is completely assembled-and structurally sound-it can be installed on the pickup. We started by readying the windshield divider strip. The interior screws need only be loosened, not removed, to allow access behind the stainless trim.

Installing the Brothers visor is an easy couple-hour job (minus time for prep and paint of course), but it's definitely not a do-it-by-yourself job. Grab a 12-pack and a friend or two to make it easy-and straight!

The rest of the frontal makeover did not require any tape measures or careful adjustments...just time, patience, and maybe another twelver. For the easily accessible hardware, an air ratchet makes quick time of the job. However, if your grille is like this one and hasn't been touched in years, make sure you have some Liquid Wrench on hand, especially for the core support and surround hardware.
