howdy yall im new to the forum,i found it searching to answer one of my questions,and needs i recieved a 1979 previously restored plow truck last spring for free ,it was not until now tht i decided to check if the wipers work for plowing,and they do not,it would really be helpful if any one had tips,and maybe a fuse box diagram and a wireing diagram any help would be much appriciated,winters coming fast lol its a 1979 shortbed

I have a 53 chevy3100 and I would like t build it to a everyday driver, but I need to build it first. Can I put my body on a s-10ex.cab frame and use the front end and rearend, or would it be better to put it on a camero or firebird frame and use the front and rearend? I want to put a v-8 and I need to have a Auto. trans., because I lst bot leggs in Viet Nam. Can someone tell me the best way to go or should I just use my frame and build it? The reason I want to build this truck is because I learn to drive with my Grandfathers 53. And that classic trucks Buyer's Guide were do I get the book? Thank You for your help. Stumpy8

hello I got a OG turn signal switch for my 1953 chevy pick up. it did not have the wiring diagram, but I was able too figure it out, the only problem I have now is that the brake lights do not work now. They were working when I had it hook up to an after market turn switch. Can anyone help

Here the problem. '67 GMC C25 (3/4 ton) P/U has a Dana/Spicer 60 rear-end w/Full Floating Axles. I had a bearing problem a few weeks ago. I've cleared that mess up and now I'm putting it back together. For the wheel bearings on the full floater, the Spicer Axle Service manual says the bearings can be lubed either by axle grease or by rear-end gear lube, BUT that is as far as the Spicer Manual goes. It says "to check vehicle manufacture's specs for specific lube". All I have for Tech data on the '67; is the 67 - 72 Chevy/GMC Haynes Manual. The Haynes Manual says to pack the bearings with grease. One of our local mechanics says that is not right and the bearings are "wet lubed" from the differential. I tried to get additional information on line and to find a "factory" 67 GMC Service manual, but have not had much luck. Anyone have any thoughts or info on these rear-ends?

Hi, I am looking at an old Apache to buy for fun. What are the problem areas to look for that typically rust on these trucks? I have zero knowledge about the old trucks but like the Apache style. I know that I want to install power steering and need some guidance of what parts or system I can buy somewhere. This is a 1 ton truck with a stepside box and a 4 spd. It will cost me about $2000 to buy. What should I be looking for to make sure it is worth buying?

This is my first post here, and I'm hoping for some advice. My 1959 apache was running good when the radiator sprung a leak. The radiator appeared to be half full when I discovered the leak. I replaced the radiator with a new one, filled it up with coolant and water, and when I fired it up, it started squealing like a pig. My suspicion is that the water pump died, but it seems weird to have two problems simultaneously. Anyone here have advice? Thanks, Ben

Hi, i have a 69 c10 longbed, recently my transmission, 3 spd, has been giving me fits, considering replacing it, is there a 4-5 spd available that will bolt right into my truck without modifications? Its all original, straight 6, been converted to a floor shifter.
