You may know Jessi Combs as a guest fabricator on Overhaulin’ and co-host of Xtreme 4x4; now she is the official spokesperson for WyoTech University.
“We’re thrilled to have Jessi Combs represent WyoTech,” said Michael Stiglich, president of WyoTech. “As a proud WyoTech graduate, she is an outstanding example of what dedication and perseverance can achieve. She’s an amazing role model, not only for women, but also for all who wish to achieve their dreams. Jessi truly has a passion for her craft.”
Combs has already become an inspiration to many students. She attended WyoTech’s Laramie campus and graduated in 2004 and has led a very successful career in the automotive world. Combs studied collision/refinishing, chassis fabrication, street rod fabrication and trim/upholstery which helped her land her first job building a car for SEMA. The car ended up being auctioned for charity which put her foot in the door to other opportunities.
Combs has made many guest appearances in the Powerblock segment of Spike TV and has also taken the place of Kari Byron as host and builder on Mythbusters when Byron was on maternity leave.
“I think it's great that I can talk to new students about my experience at WyoTech and how it has helped me get to where I am today,” said Combs. “I want to inspire them to do great things and never give up.”
Combs will be appearing at the WyoTech campus in Blairsville, Pennsylvania on September 28, 2013 where she will be speaking about the importance of an automotive education. You can catch Combs on All Girls Garage and Overhaulin’ as co-host or on The List: 1,001 Car Things To Do Before You Die, which airs on AOL’s autoblog.com and SPEED.
