If you live in North Carolina, you’ve probably been made aware of Legislation (S.B. 344) or the North Carolina Bill to Speed Titling Process for Out-of-State Older Vehicles. This bill will allow for the immediate issuance of titles to owners of out-of-state motor vehicles that are 35-years old or older. If an inspection and verification of the vehicle is required by the DMV, an inspector will exam the vehicle and the vehicle will be issued to the owner 10 days after inspection. If an inspection is not conducted by the DMV within 10 days, the title will be issued when those 10 days are up. Please contact members of the Senate Commerce Committee and request support for S.B. 344. If you want to voice your support, the hearing will convene on April 9, at 11:00am at the following address:

North Carolina General Assembly Legislative Building Room 1027/1128 16 West Jones Street Raleigh, North Carolina 27601
