A couple of weeks ago I received a few pics and a note from CT reader Greg Ford. As you might assume, with a last name such as his, there was a pretty good chance his classic pickup pictures sure wouldn’t end up being of a Chevy.
Greg’s pride and joy is this good looking ’56 F-100. Though Greg’s pickup is super photogenic, thanks to its awesome Solar Orange PPG paint, Dakota Digital VHT-Series instruments, an Ultraleather covered interior, and beautiful Brazilian mahogany bed wood and steering wheel, it ain’t no empty suit. The F-100 is powered by a stout 351 Windsor that’s been bored .030-over and equipped with a bevy of performance parts, and its modified chassis is fitted with a Fatman IFS setup. Another thing I loved about Greg’s ’56 is the fact that he did everything except the interior upholstery and the transmission rebuild at home in his home garage.
