Dick Lehto took the time to send us a few shots of his homebuilt custom ’58 Chevy 3100. Dick had started out searching for a big-window version but ended up purchasing a small-window from a coworker.

Settling for this small-window didn’t get him down though—he just decided to customize the ’58 by grafting the corner glass from a donor ’53 turning his ’58 into a one-of-a-kind five-window. Aside from the added glass he also frenched in a pair of ’41 Chevy passenger car taillights below the rear window for use as high level brake lights, too. Dick’s 3100 was also treated to a full ground-up rebuild including the replacement of the pickup’s inline six with a stout 350 V-8 backed by an overdrive automatic and a Dana 44 rearend assembly. With the cab’s custom work accomplished and fresh running gear he then gave the truck a bit lower of a stance and added a fresh Liquid Amethyst two-stage finish, a comfy new interior, and a quartet of slotted aluminum wheels and fresh rubber. Great looking pickup Dick, thanks for sharing!
