At his home shop the pickup received a fresh 350/350 combo, a white and suede black paint job, and all new glass. With the C10 looking much like a traditional hot rod/mild custom Cornell decided it needed to be much lower so he set about dropping the truck all the way around. He added a quartet of American Racing Salt Flats wrapped in Coker wide whites, a pair of fresh new bumpers and grille from LMC Truck, and had Kent Handsond lay a slew of old-school pinstriping as the finishing touch.

As I said earlier, this custom C10 knocked me off my feet when I first saw it and the more closely I checked it out the more I loved it. I tell ya, this is one hot rod pickup you’ve just got to see in person, so keep your eyes peeled this coming season--you might get lucky and run into it (and Cornell) at one of the many shows or gatherings going on this summer.
