After a week or two of color sanding and polishing it was time to move on into the interior and finish the panel off. Continuing on with the Cadillac-based theme Kevin tossed in a pair of '02 Seville seats for the ultimate in comfort. Kevin incorporated an overhead console from the very same Seville, encasing a Pioneer system that runs through a couple of Alpine amps, which in turn power a set of 6-inch Focals and a pair of Pioneer 6x9s. The entire interior was completed and pieced together by Kevin himself, including the custom one-off door panels that match the Seville seats. The dash is stock but nicely refinished, housing No Limit/Auto Meter instrument cluster and gauges. The bed floor was finished in Zebrono wood to match the custom Seville console and handmade door armrests, which truly set this panel apart from the rest. As a finishing touch Kevin called up Rody to brush on some fancy lime green pinstriping making this panel project complete.
A project that took every part of 10 years was at last complete and Kevin couldn't be prouder of the outcome. "I will never forget the first burnout I did with the headers wide open only to realize there was a cop a few hundred feet away writing someone else a ticket," Kevin says. Would he do anything different if he was to do this over again? I think not. "I love the way it turned out and would do absolutely nothing different if I had to do it over, even the countless all night work sessions were well worth every minute."
