Local stitcher Eileen Duryea sewed fresh upholstery on the stock bench seat, which was accented with new carpet, a Grant steering wheel and a Pioneer stereo. Finishing touches were put on the pickup in July of 2007-that's right, the seventh month of 2007 -just in time for Seneca's annual cruise night. "My family surprised me with a big barbecue," Marty says, "and they even had T-shirts made to celebrate the return of Old Red. I am the luckiest guy around!"

Considering all this, it's hard to argue with Marty's assessment of his pickup's good fortune. Perhaps the luckiest thing of all, however, is that this ol' Ford has had Marty as its caretaker.
