Gary Antonelli from Ohio sent in some pics of his (we're guessing, since Gary didn't specify) '55 Dodge truck after years of reading CLASSIC TRUCKS without seeing enough "off-brand" trucks. This is something we always try to address when it comes up by saying there just aren't that many out there, so we're thankful for your submissions!
Anyway, Gary traded a '57 Chevy two-door wagon for the old truck, which he says came from the West Coast about five years ago. He drove the Dodge for a few years in its stock form until sudden frozen brakes and a fire hydrant "sidelined the old warrior," as he puts it. Afterward, Gary installed a small-block 400 and TH400 trans along with a 10-bolt rearend with good cruising gears, and a new front clip. He also used a Buick steering column with a '61 Chevy wheel, '56 Ford headlight rings, '32 Ford bumper, '58 Imperial taillights, and Olds wheel covers and whitewalls to round out the old school custom look.
It's been back on the road for many miles now and gets driven in the sun, rain, and snow. Keep it up, Gary!
