Do We What?
Jim Pollen from Horseheads, New York, wrote in asking if we covered classic Dodge trucks as well as Ford and Chevy in Classic Trucks, and the answer is yes. Just because nice examples of Mopar haulers are tough to find doesn't mean we don't like 'em. Jim owns this clean Dodge Omni white '56 D-100 with a 225 slant-six powerplant that's hooked to a 904 tranny courtesy of a '73 Dart that spins the tires on the '87 Dakota rearend. Inside, the D-100 remains all-Mopar, with a Dart column, a '69 Barracuda center console, and Dodge conversion van captain's chairs. Jim's still working on finishing the '56, and he even made the custom grille from a department store clothing rack that looks great. We're glad you like the magazine, Jim-we'll try to get more Dodges in it when we find 'em.
