Steve didn't stop doing things himself in the interior, either, even though he did have a helping hand from Kathy Carey stitching up the bench. She covered the '92 F-150 seat in gray UltraLeather and tweed, which was carried on throughout the rest of the interior. A Lecarra wheel sits on top of the Cougar column, VDO gauges rest in a custom-made panel by Terry Ritz, and a Vintage Air A/C unit wards off the sweltering Midwest summers.
All in all, Steve and Deb have healed up from the few bullets they couldn't dodge along the way, and now they couldn't be more proud of the Ford they built from start to finish 50 feet from their house. Lately, they've been making up for lost time by driving the '53 as much as they can, which includes trips to the Goodguys shows in Charlotte and Waukesha, as well as the F-100 Supernats in Knoxville. Keep that odometer rolling!
