Front Runner Pully System Installation - Underhood Unity
WOW! After the Stewart water... WOW! After the Stewart water pump came back from the polisher it looked as good as the rest of the stuff for the FrontRunner. | After the water pump and pulley... After the water pump and pulley goes on, the main truss bracket is next. Wait until you see the truss in person, its impressive! | The lower mount uses these... The lower mount uses these spacers that go into the front of the block to the pair of holes to the left of the crank. This truss makes it possible to use any head manufacture because the truss mounts to the block and holds the whole drive system. | Mount the Vintage Air TiteFit... Mount the Vintage Air TiteFit Line kit to the compact polished compressor and take that and the polished Powermaster 140 Amp Alternator and bolt them to their respective brackets and then attach those to the main truss. | The unique thing about Vintage... The unique thing about Vintage Air's FrontRunner set-up is that it utilizes a spring-loaded tensioning system for a no-nonsense, trouble free operation and with that mounted and the crank pulley on, all that's left is the compact GM Type II power steering pump. | The new condenser gets hung... The new condenser gets hung up in front of the radiator. | Just to the left of the condenser... Just to the left of the condenser on the core support, we found a good spot for the drier. | One you have all of your hoses... One you have all of your hoses cut to length, turn all of the fittings the way you want them and "clock" them with a light colored marker or paint pen and take them to an A/C supply store or a garage that has a crimper for A/C lines and get them crimped. Clocking them will ensure that the lines will lay the way they were set up because once they are crimped you won't be able to twist 'em! | Holy tight fit, Batman! But... Holy tight fit, Batman! But that's the idea behind Vintage Air's FrontRunner Serpentine System. It's almost like you're looking under the hood of some top secret big-name project, but it could be in your garage! |
