We can thank mini-truckers...
We can thank mini-truckers for starting the laid-out-hard look, and world-class wet T-shirt contests held at the Colorado River.
When it comes to throwing a great classic truck show, location is everything, and that’s the reason Brothers held its 14th Annual Show & Shine once again at the Canyon RV Park located within the city of Anaheim, California’s, Featherly Park. The event put on by Brothers to thank its loyal base of customers took place on July 8, 2012, and there isn’t a better place to get out of the hot Southern California sun than under the trees next to the banks of the Santa Ana River.
Although the temperatures this year were much lower than the heat wave that struck the rest of the nation, the breeze never stopped blowing all day. Of course there are a few minor drawbacks for photographers, such as trying to get a good shot without shadows from the trees blocking the trucks, but that’s not a biggie.
Another matter that might make it a little easier to write more detail about the event would be the truck owner’s hometown included on the information card on the windshield. There’s no charge for admission, so there was a bunch of spectators who avoided paying the $10 parking fee by parking out on the highway. Who knows how many paint chips they got from the 18-wheelers flying by, but hey $10 is $10 right? I’m more into convenience, so I popped for the $10 and got a really good parking spot in the shade under the bridge. Well, the less I write, the more truck photos we can run, so I’m outta here.
