Flying into Spokane, Washington, from California was an eye opener, not because the flight was bad, the landscape was that good, and it kept me glued to the window. The state of Washington, especially Spokane, is incredibly green with numerous rivers running right into the downtown cityscape. Why am I telling you the reader this? Well, sometimes it’s about the destination outside the event that makes the actual event that much better. Not to mention, the people were exceptionally nice.

When I arrived at the fairgrounds Friday morning the air was crisp and not a cloud in the sky. Under my own steam, I walked the fairgrounds and noticed that this particular event was somewhat smaller than some of the other GG shows. However, it turns out that it was a good thing to be smaller because you get to see everything. Some of the larger events can be, at times, a little overwhelming since you don’t know whose truck to look at first, plus, you can easily miss the coolest ride by simply walking right by it. Oops, I’ve done it several times. Another thing I happened to notice, were how many people made the trek from Alberta, Canada, and other states just to enjoy the long weekend and have some laughs with old and new friends who enjoyed the classics.
