With as much event season travel as we do there are still lots of regional and local shows we just can't get to during the year. This is something Wes and I have been tossing around over the last few weeks-incorporating some smaller local shows into our travel plans for 2011. In the meantime a CLASSIC TRUCKS reader by the name of Bryan Ashley sent along a CD of images from his club's inaugural Southeastern Truck Nationals held this past July. The open (all year) show was held at White House Park in White House, Tennessee, and was attended by a respectable 100-plus trucks-not too shabby for a first-time show!

The images Ashley sent showed quite an array of trucks split roughly 60/40 late-model and classics, and we got the distinct feeling that the gathering was a success and should be even bigger and better next year. So, with this in mind, I made the decision to take a bit of valuable CT real estate and share some of the images with our readers-not something I normally do, but will this time as a sort of tip of our hat to all you local clubs all over the country who work your tails off to provide fun gatherings that promote the hobby. So, without further ado let's check out what showed up at the first Tennessee Classic Truck Club's Southeastern Truck Nats. Who knows, this may well be a gathering that's within driving distance for ya, and if so you might want to touch base with the club (www.tennesseeclassictruckclub.com) and see what's up for 2011!
