Known mostly for its deep roots in the country music industry, Nashville is a great place to visit, especially if you plan the trip around the Goodguys Nashville Nationals. Usually held the last weekend of June, the weather is always hot, but this year, the mixture of high temperatures and high humidity gave everyone an excuse to find a shade tree. To aid in the comfort of its participants and crew, Goodguys has changed the date of the Nashville Nationals, moving it to the month of May in hopes of pleasant springtime temperatures.Despite the heat wave, nearly 2,000 hot rods rolled into the LP Field parking lot and enjoyed all that the show had to offer. The Street Challenge Autocross was a huge attraction all weekend long, even for the truck guys, as several classic pickups participated in the tricky course. Add to that, a packed swap meet, tons of vendors, and all sorts of good food, and you have one fun event. And if you didn't get your fill at the show during the day, a trip to the host hotel would certainly provide a good time, thanks to a big cruise-in.
The 4th Annual Nashville Nationals proved to be another great event, and the date change will only help it grow.
