Hey everyone, it's a Dodge,... Hey everyone, it's a Dodge, or is it? It seems that there are an increasing number of you who want to see "off-brand" trucks in the magazine, and while we agree and try to show all the nice examples we can find, they are still quite elusive. This '50 Fargo (Canadian Dodge) was brought down by Ray and Barb Brandt from Calgary. | Maybe there were more GMC... Maybe there were more GMC dealers in the eastern Washington area back in the day, since it almost seemed like they equaled the number of Chevy trucks at the show, which usually isn't the case. Regardless, Mike Shea and his '49 GMC 100 had a blast all weekend soaking up some sun. | Spokane resident Tom Myers... Spokane resident Tom Myers took a short trip to the show in his '41 Chevy, which is apparently a sleeper! His sign said that under the stock tin is a 383 small-block! |
It's hard not to like a simple,... It's hard not to like a simple, lowered shortbed C-10. Besides the wheels, the steering wheel, and possibly a couple of shaved badges, it seems as though L. Hickey's '72 Chevy was as GM intended, and who doesn't love red and white? | From the looks of it, we'd... From the looks of it, we'd bet that Roger Jacobson's '56 Ford F-100 is a custom truck from glory days gone by, with its chopped top and chrome running boards. We didn't get a chance to confirm this with Roger, but we liked his truck either way. | Latecomers Rick and Doreen... Latecomers Rick and Doreen Shandro pulled in from Kelowna, BC, on Saturday in their gorgeous '68 Chevy C-10. One of the most striking things about their truck was the color combo-love it. |
Geoff Mitchell and Debbie... Geoff Mitchell and Debbie Hayes must be friends with the Shandros, as they rolled in on Saturday with their '70 C-10 and eluded my watchful eye all day. The two trucks parked by each other were quite a sight, and would have made a cool feature-next time! | Barry Latham's '55 GMC "Cool"... Barry Latham's '55 GMC "Cool" bus is decked out to the max! Not only does the bus feature an intense flame job and a 502 big-block, but Barry has the inside quarters set up for road trippin'. There's a comfy sleeping area and all the other amenities one could hope for in a righteous machine like this. | Get 'em while you can! Even... Get 'em while you can! Even though this pristine example of Chevy's up-and-coming C-10 was out of my price range, they can still be had in decent shape for not a whole lot of dough. Despite the swap meet in Spokane being a tad on the small side, there were quite a few gems to be had. |
I couldn't believe it, another... I couldn't believe it, another Studebaker Coupe Express! Randy May's '37 makes number four of these that I have seen in person. His rare truck is built as a street rod and has a 406 Chevy for power. | Dare to be different! Who'da... Dare to be different! Who'da thunk that black, red, and green would go together so well without looking like some sort of holiday accident? Rusty Stanaway's clean black '56 Ford would be just that without the pea green pinstriping; now it's unique and cool! Good outside-of-the-box thinking seems rare these days. | We'll probably have to field... We'll probably have to field some hate mail over this, but this '72 Ford Courier is a classic truck, and with the way gas prices are going, it's one you might be able to afford to drive! This little guy belongs to Myke Davis from Spokane and looks like a fun work in progress. |
