Jerry and Jackie Johnston from Fallbrook, CA, entered their big-window '56 Ford F-100 in the show and had people drooling over it all weekend. The small-block Chevy-powered Ford was built by the steady hands at Buxton Motorsports in nearby Irvine. | This '69 C-10 named "The Infidel" is finished in a "custom puke-green suede basecoat" and has an unusual 425ci Buick Nailhead V-8 under the hood! The modified stock frame is full of goodies from Air Ride Technologies and McGaughy's to help get it on the ground. | Immaculate body and paintwork, supercharged V-8, blinding chrome, and a perfect stance--this Chevy had it all! |
Outside, between the buildings and the rain, we got a shot of this custom Chevy in the Toyo Tires display area wearing a set of huge (what else) Toyos and custom wheels. | In the Suede Palace was this neat '37 Ford truck. Even though the chopped Ford was unfinished, it had a detailed, early Cadillac V-8 sporting an Edmunds intake topped with two Stromberg 97 carbs--too cool. | |
