"No Air Bags" was written at the top of the window sticker on Kenny and Natalie Mutert's '50 Chevy, which was in jeopardy of being high-centered on the gravel. The body may be "barn fresh," but we're sure there was plenty of work done to get 'er down to the ground. regardless, the '50 looks good with its whitewalls, chrome wheels and bullet center caps, and visor, and what you can't see is a 355 and a four-speed under the weathered hood. | This early '70s Dodge was too cool! Too bad the owner didn't fill out his window sticker... | It wasn't that hot in Kansas, but you may think otherwise by the looks of Chad Kolman's '67 C-10. The black-primered Chevy was host to a cool set of orange metalflake flames and cream pinstriping. |
Air ride Technologies had their autocross track set up for any and all who wanted to run whatcha brung, and Zack Hardy from Joplin, MO, was an eager participant. While his '61 F-100 may be a little lax in the looks department, he has a DOHC Ford mod motor under the, er...um, hood that he was flogging on all weekend. | Too much of a good thing? Nope, another '46 Chevy was in attendance, but this one was a stocker for the most part, save for the later 235ci six-cylinder. Owner Jerry Godbey has a blast cruising the two-tone hauler all over the Midwest. | Dave Tallant drove his shop truck to the show to drum up some new customers for his shop, and who wouldn't be impressed with this rolling '51 Chevy business card? |
Not seen too often these days are chopped '67-72 C-10s, but that didn't stop Gary Scharnhorst from showing off his '72 Cheyenne Super. | Being suckers for classy trucks, we had to share Fred Gardner's '56 F-100. The mix of dark green metallic paint, light green wheels, whitewalls, and splashes of chrome are hard to resist. Oh, and it still has its Y-block and overdrive trans where Henry put 'em. | |
