Goodguys Mid Western Nationals - Kansas Cool
This stunning green machine belongs to Pete Klucas from Lincoln, NE. Pete built the '54 F-100 in his shop, Top End Engineering, and drives it like a rental. Under the custom-mixed green metallic PPG paint is a dutiful injected '95 Cobra 302 V-8, AOD-E, and rearend. Pete also stuck a Total Cost Involved IFS under the truck complete with 'bags and disc brakes that slow down the 17- and 18-inch Boyd Coddington Smoothies. | Some people may forget what a stock F-100 looks like, but not William Nolle from St. Charles, MO. He brought his restored '53 F-100 to Kansas City for all to see. His grandpa bought the truck new in '52 and parked it in '68, and William got a hold of it in '97 and, as he put it, "It only took five years and a few beers" to get it back to how Grandpa had it. Nice work, William. | | Kansas resident Keary Walls was at the show with his 46 Chevy extended cab. The lengthened, chopped, and smoothed orange Chevy was aglow in the Midwest sunshine. | This mild custom Advanced Design Chevy belongs to ronny and Lisa McKown from Trimble, MO. The five-window was host to subtle shaving, frenched headlights, and a louvered hood. | It's always good to see former CLASSIC TrUCKS feature stars at shows, and Sam and Connie Wright's '64 C-10 is no exception. The gray Fleetside sits a short distance from the pavement while a built 383 stroker motor puts a little pep in its step. | | Who doesn't like an orange Effie? Terry Zvolanek from Osborne, KS, is partial to his '56, as were we. The Ford pick 'em up rolls on big Cragar S/S wheels and is powered by a reliable 302/AOD combo-sweet. | Good as gold was David Collins' '65 C-10 Custom. The shortbed Chevy is from Highland Village, TX, and still has its original 327 and Powerglide under the hood. |
